Dear Sir,
Can I ask you where you bought the Lyrec/Ortofon combination? Does it have a Neumann SX74 cutting head.
It might be possible that is the lathe I have been cutting thousands of record-sides on during a 40 year long career as a cutting engineer. Glad to see it is still doing its job. It is proof of the extreme quality to which these machine were build.
I'am also glad to see it in these fantastic surroundings reassuring me that it is now well taken care of in strong contrast to were it was when I first sold it.
I wish you many years of good use and many sides cut.

Yes this is the Lyrec which i brought from Holland. So as you said it must be a SV8s with the Sean David pitch controler. The Lyrec's parts is not shipping to my company. So i am still very interested in how many Lyrec lathes still available now ,? Very happy to know you Mr Nowill.

Were the Lyrec spare parts [found after sv10?/sv8s? was shipped to Vietnam by Vremus's assistant engineer] also shipped to you.I ask as I'm interested in how many Lyrecs survive & said assistant would not give me an answer re spare parts.In terms of machines I know of there is Pete Hutchinson-Electric Mastering , Roberto Barbolini in Italy ,Myself , Chris Hanson @ music house & a machine in storage in Jamaica.There were two other complete Lyrec systems , one in Alma Ata in Kazakistan , another in Peking china.It is not known if these machines survive.Pete Hutchinson's machine mastered records for Balkantron in Sofia Bulgaria.RTE Ireland had a Lyrec-sold early 1990s-not sure where this is now.Lewis Durham is a Lyrec owner too.

Lyrec sv10 .Did this machine come from Ted Vremus Holland [previously used at Foon Mastering]?.I thought it was an SV8s with new pitch control motors built by S.W.Davies-I'm using the old motors in my Lyrec lathe purchased in Moscow in 1995-interesting.Good to know the machine will go on mastering records as Foon's machine was of excellent quality.
